Ocean diving from Playa del Carmen
Welcome to the second largest Barrier Reef in the World
“The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever.” Jacques Yves Cousteau
The Mesoamerican Reef region lies within the Caribbean Sea and touches the coasts of Mexico, Belize, Guatemala and Honduras. It contains the largest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere, stretching nearly 700 miles from the northern tip of the Yucatan Peninsula down through the Honduran Bay Islands. Dazzling arrays of different types of coral form this underwater wilderness, and provide homes and food to hundreds of fish species, marine turtles, and sharks. Along the shores, mangroves provide habitat for fish and shorebirds as well as protect coastal areas from the damage associated with hurricanes and strong storms.

Bullshark Diving
Bull Sharks are one of the most feared ocean predators, even though humans are not part of their diet. Unfortunately, their bad reputation is due to the fact that most of the information found on them comes from tabloids. Our aim is to increase awareness about these magnificent beasts and make you fall in love as we did.
From November to March, our majestic Bullsharks visit us to give us a sight worth of a life’s bucket-list. We offer Observation diving exclusively (no feeding), and this is certainly one of the most thrilling and humbling experience while diving in winter in the region.
Our fee below includes the local Saving Our Sharks Association Donation Bracelet and the PDC Marine Reserve Participation. Each outing includes an Observation dive followed by a shallow reef dive (excl. 1 dive option).

Cozumel is a World-Class protected National Marine Park where you will be able to enjoy dramatic walls dropping into the abyss, stunning coral architectures and swimthroughs to majestic sealife, while flying underwater thanks to the drift diving it has to offer.
Every year from November to February something special happens within the deep north marine walls of Cozumel. Divers are drawn to this place for an amazing experience: diving on the wall with large groups of spotted eagle rays.
For divers based in Playa Del Carmen, you will depart directly from the beach in PDC with our Cozumel Direct Experience.
From November to March, an additional Bullsharks Observation dive can be scheduled once back in Playa del Carmen in the afternoon.
For Cozumel based diving from the island itself, we will gladly refer you to our local partner.
