GUE Performance Diver Course

WHAT IS A GUE PERFORMANCE DIVER COURSE?
Many divers find that they need extra time beyond their initial scuba certification to refine buoyancy, trim, and propulsion skills. Since most open water courses are relatively short, achieving true comfort and control in the water can be challenging. The Performance Diver course is designed to address this gap, giving divers the opportunity to build confidence and enjoy their dives through focused in-water practice supported by adaptive online learning.
A GUE Performance diver will be able to plan and execute dives within the following limitations:
- Max Depth 18m / 60ft
- Use of Nitrox 32%
- All dives must be within minimum decompression limits (MDLs), i.e., no required stops.
- No Overhead

GUE Basic Fundamentals Diver Course
WHAT IS A GUE BASIC FUNDAMENTALS COURSE?
The GUE Fundamentals course is the organisation’s most popular program—and for good reason. It sharpens essential diving skills, corrects gaps from fast-track training, and opens the door to GUE projects worldwide and other GUE courses.
The GUE Basic Fundamentals course is designed to cultivate the essential skills required for sound diving practice. Included among its course outcomes are: to provide the diver with an opportunity to enhance their diving skills in preparation for entering the technical GUE training path; to train divers in the theory and practice of nitrox; to provide divers with aspirations for more advanced diver training with the tools that will contribute to a greater likelihood of success; and to provide non-GUE trained divers with a gateway into GUE training.
A GUE Basic Fundamentals diver will be able to plan and execute dives within the following limitations:
- Max Depth 18m / 60ft
- Use of Nitrox 32%

GUE Technical Fundamentals Diver Course

WHAT IS A GUE TECHNICAL FUNDAMENTALS COURSE?
The GUE Technical Fundamentals course is intended for divers with experience who are preparing to continue into GUE’s technical, rebreather, or cave programs. It is both a gateway and a benchmark, ensuring divers develop the high level of skill and control needed to succeed in advanced training.
This course emphasizes the importance of a strong personal diving platform—mastering buoyancy, trim, propulsion, and balance—before adding the complexity of technical or overhead environments. Divers who struggle with these basics often face task loading, stress, and reduced situational awareness, which can limit their ability to contribute effectively to a team. By addressing these skills early, Technical Fundamentals provides the confidence and control necessary to progress safely.
For many students, the course is a turning point. Standardized equipment configuration and procedures are only part of the picture; the real value comes from experiencing how a team-based approach increases efficiency, safety, and enjoyment. This shift in perspective often transforms the way divers think about their role underwater and prepares them to fully engage in the challenges of GUE’s advanced training, exploration projects, and community activities.

GUE DPV 1 Diver Course
WHAT IS A GUE DPV 1 COURSE?
Being a diver means exploring new underwater territories, and with an underwater scooter (Diver Propulsion Vehicle – DPV) the exploration range can expand even further. Riding a scooter is not only fun, but it also allows divers to cover more distance with less effort, even carrying extra gear. The GUE’s DPV Level 1 course is designed to introduce divers to the skills and knowledge required to safely use Underwater Propulsion Vehicles (DPV) in open water environments.
This course is essential for anyone interested in utilizing one of the most fun and efficient tools available to divers to cover bigger distances or carry more equipment with reduced effort.
A GUE DPV 1 diver will be able to plan and execute dives within the following limitations:
- Max Depth 30m / 100ft
- Use of Nitrox 32%

GUE Doubles Primer Course
WHAT IS A GUE DOUBLES PRIMER COURSE?
Venturing into more advanced underwater environments is very often related to longer times and greater depths. To be able to safely extend both, divers need to increase their available breathing gas volume and add equipment redundancy.
The GUE Doubles Primer is a course designed to teach divers how to safely and comfortably dive a double tank configuration using proper equipment and techniques.
Anyone interested in making the transition from single tank to doubles will benefit from this class. It is highly recommended to anyone who is intending to take GUE Fundamentals class and who has no previous doubles experience.
This training is available for non-GUE trained divers and can serve as a basic introduction to GUE systems.
